  • KunYin is a feminine embodiment practice for the body, mind and spirit. The name KunYin derives from the interplay of Kundalini Energy, the spiritual energy that is believed to be located at the base of the spine which can be awakened and harnessed through slowing down, awareness and breath. Yin on the other hand represents the feminine aspect of the Yin Yang symbol. Yin symbolizes receptivity, nurturing, and intuitive energy. KunYin allows the feminine body to heal through movement and emotions. KunYin acknowledges that emotions are not to be suppressed or ignored but rather honored and allowed to flow naturally with ease.

  • KunYin is for all feminine identifying beings of all shapes, sizes, physical abilities, and ages. KunYin is not based on any religious or spiritual practices but rather for every woman.

  • The essence of KunYin is to really experience what feels good in your body, so we never want you to move into any pain or discomfort. The movement positions are a guide to support you to feel into what feels good for you within your own abilities. If you have injuries or limited abilities and would like to do KunYin seated, please let your instructor know prior to the class or send us an email at classes@kunyin.com.au and we will ensure that we support you to move to your own rhythm and your abilities.

  • In a KunYin Class you can expect to participate either online or in person in a class style environment. Online you can choose to have your camera on or off. A class may go from 35 mins to 60 mins. You will be guided by a Certified KunYin Instructor to take you on a musical movement journey to move, feel and release emotions through gentle movements at your own pace.

  • If you are participating in an Online KunYin Class you will need a laptop, tablet or PC to access the zoom. It is recommended to have your music and playlist on a separate device (such as your cell phone) You will need to have a Spotify Premium Account to ensure that your playlist flows in alignment with the rest of the class and the instructor

  • You can access Spotify Premium with a free trial. Sometimes they offer 1 or 3 months for FREE. That way you can try us out and if you are enjoying us you can sign up for an account.

  • If you are finding it difficult to hear the instructors’ queues, simply allow yourself to move however your body feels like moving. The instructor is really a guide to encourage you to slow down and to feel more deeply. If you like to close your eyes during class, you may want to peek out and visually check in with the class. However, what is more important is that you listen to your body and what feels good for you.
